Selling gold in Greater Noida West? Ask us about your piece before you decide.
Call 9217742656WhatsAppIf you search cash for gold near me from Indirapuram, Vaishali, Vasundhara or Kaushambi, ask every buyer for three numbers before you hear a total. They are the purity on the karatmeter screen, the weight after stones and clasps, and the rate for that purity. A buyer who shows all three has nothing to hide. A buyer who gives only a total has hidden all three.
Our counter is in Noida Extension (Greater Noida West), and "Cash for Gold - Sona Do Paise Lo" also does pickups across Delhi NCR. For the full picture of this belt, see the Indirapuram page.
Cash for gold near me in Indirapuram: what are the three numbers?
Your payout is built from three inputs. Each one can be seen with your own eyes at the table.
- Purity. How much of the piece is gold, read on a karatmeter.
- Weight. Grams of gold in the piece, after the parts that are not gold are taken out.
- Rate. The price per gram for that purity, on that day.
We do not quote what a piece will fetch before it is tested. The figure is worked out at the counter, from these three numbers, with you watching. If you want the long version of each step, read how a karatmeter reading is taken and the three numbers that decide what you are paid. This post is about asking for them in Indirapuram.
How do I check the purity on the karatmeter?
Ask to see the screen. The reading should appear while your piece is under test, not be announced from across the counter.
- Watch the piece go on the karatmeter. The number on the screen is the purity of that piece.
- Ask for the reading in karat or in the 916 style, whichever you know. A 22 karat piece should read close to 916.
- If you have several pieces, ask for a reading on each. A chain and a bangle from the same set can differ.
- If the screen reads lower than the stamp, ask why. It happens, and what happens if your gold tests lower than the stamp explains the reasons.
Many families in Ahinsa Khand, Niti Khand or Vaibhav Khand bring a mix: old 22 karat set pieces and a few lighter chains. A single "average" purity for the whole bag is a warning sign. Each piece has its own reading.
Why does the weight change after stones and clasps?
Because stones, meena and some clasp parts are not gold. We do not buy stones, so we do not pay for them. The scale first shows the full weight of the piece. The gold weight is what remains once those parts are accounted for.
At the table, ask three things:
- What does the piece weigh as it is?
- What was taken off for stones, enamel or a non-gold clasp?
- What is the gold weight you are using?
Jhumkas, haar sets and pendants with stones are common in Vasundhara and Vaishali homes, and those are the pieces where this gap is largest. Plain chains and bangles have almost none. Our post on stones, meena and clasps shows what to expect, and why the weight is less than you expected covers the surprise some sellers feel.
Weigh the piece yourself at home if you have a kitchen scale, only as a rough guide. The counter scale is the one that counts, and you should be able to see it.
What rate should I be told?
The rate is the price per gram for your purity. Ask for it by purity, for example "the rate for 22 karat", not as a single headline number.
You can read the published rate on our rate page before you leave home. Remember that the rate in the news is a reference, not your payout. Why the published rate is not your payout explains the difference. What you want to hear at the table is a rate that matches the purity on the screen.
Nothing has to happen today. If the rate and the reading are clear and you want to think, take your time. You can also compare with a second buyer, and how to compare three quotes shows how to do it fairly.
What is a buyer hiding if they give only a total?
A single total can hide any of the three numbers. You cannot tell whether the purity was read low, the weight was cut too far, or the rate was below the rate for your purity. You cannot compare it with anyone else either.
Around Shipra Suncity, Jaipuria Mall, CISF Road and Kanawani, sellers usually meet three kinds of buyer:
- Muthoot and similar counters, built mainly for loans.
- Jeweller showrooms, which take old gold as exchange against new jewellery.
- Cash buyers, like us, who pay for the gold alone.
An exchange can be the right call if you want new jewellery. If you want cash, ask the exchange shop to separate the three numbers from the price of the new piece. Cash for gold, or exchange at a jeweller sets out the trade. If you are weighing a loan instead, read sell the gold or take a gold loan.
Whoever you choose, say the same line: "Please show me the purity, the gold weight and the rate for that purity." A good buyer answers without discomfort. For more questions to carry with you, see five questions to ask any buyer.
Should I come from Indirapuram, or ask for a pickup?
Coming to the counter works well if you have time and a few pieces. The route is NH-24 / Delhi-Meerut Expressway side towards Crossings Republik, then into Greater Noida West. It is about 20 to 30 minutes outside peak hours, map estimate. Our Noida Extension page has the details, and carrying gold safely helps if you are travelling with it.
A pickup is the better call when:
- you are carrying a full family set and would rather not travel with it;
- an elderly family member is the one selling;
- the pieces are heavy and you want the testing done at your own table.
Pickup covers the whole belt, from Vaishali Sectors 1 to 9 and Vasundhara Sectors 1 to 19 to Kaushambi and the khands of Indirapuram, usually the same half-day. The same three numbers apply at your door. Read is a home pickup safe first if you are unsure.

If you would like to ask about a particular piece before you decide, call or WhatsApp 9217742656. Tell us the piece and its stamp, and we will say what we will read and weigh at the table. We will not give a figure over the phone. Purana sona bechna is a big decision, and asking first costs nothing.
Questions people ask
What should I ask for when I look for cash for gold near me in Indirapuram? Ask for the purity on the karatmeter, the gold weight after stones and clasps, and the rate for that purity. Get all three before you hear a total.
Can I see the karatmeter reading myself? Yes. At our counter the piece is tested while you watch, and the screen is visible to you. Ask any buyer to do the same.
Why does the weight on the scale not match the weight I expected? Stones, enamel and some clasps are not gold, and they are not paid for as gold. Ask the buyer to show the full weight and the gold weight separately.
Do I have to sell if the numbers do not suit me? No. You can take your gold back, think it over, or call or WhatsApp 9217742656 with questions. Nothing has to happen today.
